The addition of spices is indissolubly linked to the history of beer. Today hops are the most common ingredient added to most beers in the world to give them the desired bitterness and aromas. However, this was not always the case. Documents from the 9th century mention the Gruit, a mixture of spices and aromatic herbs, such as rosemary, sweet gale, bay leaves, ginger, aniseed, cumin, juniper, ivy, thistle, yarrow, heather, samphire, absinth, and tree bark.

Baladin pays homage to this tradition with three now classic beers, made with unusual cereals and with the addition of original spice mixes. In line with the style of Baladin, however, they are never aggressive and always preserve great elegance and refinement.

Baladin Nora tells of ancient history, nomadic people and pyramids, spices and Kamut, which means “the soul of the earth” in ancient Egyptian. Its warm, orange-amber color is complemented by a tall head which releases notes of Eastern aromas, ginger and citrus fruit.
