Unterthurner
The private distillery Unterthurner has been family-owned for three generations. The distillery, recognised as one of the most distinguished distilleries in South Tyrol, was founded in 1947 by Ignaz Unterthurner. He started out with the production of the distillates that were typical back then, such as grape marc, Williams pear or juniper berries.
Unterthurner can boast of great achievements in the area of speciality spirits, particularly due to the unique creation of the wild raspberry brandy – Waldler. Awarded a gold medal in Ljubljana, this speciality is the absolute favourite of all “fruit connoisseurs”.
