Rum from Czech

Rum from Czech

Tuzemak has been called "czech rum" previoulsy. Since czech joined the European Union in 2004 it is not allowed to sell it as "rum" anymore. The EU policies allow only distillates to be declared as rum which are made of molasses or sugar cane. Tuzemak has always been distilled from sugar beets instead of sugar cane.
Because of the base of sugar beets it has a very own and unique character. But it can be used and enjoyed as a rum anyway. Just try it neat or with Cola, or in a grog on a cold winter evening.
