Mönchshof

The history of the Mönchshof Brewery starts with the Cistercian abbey Langheim. With the first founding of the monastery in the year 1349 Kulmbach’s art of brewing history started. In the heart of the beer region Oberfranken and at the foot of the Plassenburg lies the long-standing Kulmbacher Mönchshof (Kulmbach’s monk yard). For more than 600 years Bavarian brewing tradition and hospitality are kept at this place.
