Knappogue Castle Twin Wood 16 year old is an Irish whiskey with a slight amber tinge to its golden hue, and a much more prominent taste. Triple distilled, Knappogue Castle’s characteristically smooth, mellow flavor is enhanced by the nutty sherried nuances of yeasty oak, apples, and olives. Only 1500 signed and numbered bottles are being offered. Knappogue Castle Twin Wood is a Sherry finished Knappogue Castle matured for sixteen years in two types of wood. The result is a perfectly balanced single malt Irish whiskey with a complex, rich taste and a slightly sweet sherry finish. The best of single malt storages is aged for just over 14 years in bourbon barrels for Knappogue’s signature smooth taste. This perfect whiskey was then aged for an additional twenty-one months in casks especially seasoned for Knappogue using Oloroso Sherry. Our Passion is for Perfection.
