Producer: Glen Scotia Distillery, 12 High Street, Campbeltown, Argyll, PA39 7DS, Scotland
The Glen Scotia Distillery, founded in 1832, is an unique Victorian town house distillery located in Campbeltown amidst other town houses and buildings. It is the only single malt distillery in Scotland to have Scotland in its name in the gaelic derivative form “Scotia”. It is one of only 3 Campbeltown distilleries (Glen Scotia, Glengyle and Springbank).
Today Glen Scotia Whisky is distilled without computers, under the technical supervision of Loch Lomond’s acclaimed Master Distiller and innovator, John Peterson M.Sc., B.Sc. matured exclusively in bourbon barrels for quicker and consistent maturation, sourced to Loch Lomond cooperage’s specification.
It is quintessentially Scottish – name, design, distilled from 100% Scottish barley, and independently owned by a Scottish company.
