All along the Austrian hunters who were cold during raised hide made themselves a hot tee using honey, wine, schnapps and other ingredients. Since then this hot drink is called “Jaga-Tee” (= “hunter’s tea”)

The Bergfex Jagatee (in Austria “Wolpertinger”) differs from other Jagatees. It contains besides the schnapps base also red wine and honey - therfore it’s darker colour. It appears sweeter, smooth and appealing, with a strong honey flavour and hints of red wine. It’s a bit reminescent of punch.

Jaga-Tee is the perfect companion during the cold season. These warming drink, diluted with the correct amount of hot water (up to 4 pieces of water with 1 piece Jagatee) is giving the ideal hot drink.
