Fluère finds its origins well before the beginning of the era. At that time the Roman Empire stretched from Scotland to Iran and from Germany to Egypt. To keep the legions fit to travel and fight, the Romans experimented with herbs, spices and botanicals from all these distant countries. For their fitness the Romans relied on the disinfecting effects of lavender. The juniper kept out evil spirits but was also believed to be positive for kidneys and bladder. Coriander had a positive effect on the intestines.

To get the best out of every branch, leaf and berry, all botanicals are individually distilled in a copper pot still using so called hydrosteam distillation. The essential oils derived from the distilling process ensure the premium taste and unique after-bite of any drink made with Fluère.
