Welsh Single Malt Whisky


The gold medal winner Penderyn Madeira 41 is presented under a new name since 2015 - Penderyn Legend.

After single distillation in the unique Faraday copper still the whisky matures in bourbon casks, then in madeira casks.

Non chill filtered, no artificial colouring, 41%vol.

Tasting notes:
 

Nose:

Aromas of fresh apples and citrus fruit intermingle with cream fudge and sultana raisins to create a complex yet fresh, clean and well-balanced whisky.

Taste:

Incredibly smooth, both fresh and rich dried fruits abound. Delicate and sweet on the palate.

Finish:

Just a hint of bitterness to remain refreshing, a long finish leaving an aftertaste of Madeira cake and sultanas

Penderyn is the only one welsh single malt distillery. It was found in the year 2000. The whisky still at Penderyn is unlike any other: a single copper pot still producing a flavourful spirit of extraordinary strength and purity. This still was invented exclusively for Penderyn by Dr David Faraday, descendent of the ground-breaking Victorian scientist, Michael Faraday.
