Superbly blended in the grand Cuban tradition, Matusalem Gran Reserva is exotic, sensual, complex and sophisticated, with just a hint of smoky smoothness.

The key to this rum’s complexity is the Solera aging process, where various mature fine rums are carefully blended together. The main blender rum is aproximately 15 years old, and is complemented by other specially selected oak cask aged rums. This is a perfect marriage, a careful handcrafted union of the more mature and stately blender rum with other, more exuberant rums. The exquisite result is Matusalem Gran Reserva 15 years old.

 

 

Colour:

Rich, golden colour comparable to those found in the world’s best oak-barrel aged spirits. It’s clear, brillant red amber tones come from the Solera system of blending young and mature rums in oak casks.

Nose:

Sweet vanilla, molasses, caramel and plums. This lavish offering results in a mellow, rich, subtle and exquisitely refined rum.

Palate:

Delicate taste, velvety smooth, with an exceptional bouquet and delicate flavors of vanilla, molasses and caramel, its complex palate generates barely any heat. Its satiny texture is that of a unique super-premium rum.

Finish:

Dry, tasty flavors take center stage before slowly ebbing away in a long satisfying finish
