Blended Irish Whiskey, 40%vol


The local brewer of the Franciscan Well micro brewery borrowed some casks from the Midleton distillery to age their fine Irish stout. So there was the idea to finish the Jameson liquid in stout-seasoned oak barrels.
The result is Jameson Stout Edition (formerly sold as "Caskmates"), a special edition whiskey that accentuates the trademark smoothness of Jameson with additional flavours.
 

Nose:

Green apple and pear merge with a smooth pot still spicyness

Palate:

Notes of hops an cocoa meet gentle hints of marzipan

Finish:

Long, sweet finish with milk chocolate and butterscotch


With colouring (caramel)
