Pacto Navio celebrates the pact of 1815 which confirmed peace between Spain and France and the return of the “Navio” sailing ships trading between Europe and Havana. French trading vessels once again crossed the ocean towards Cuba where their wine-filled barrels were emptied, refilled with rum and shipped back to europe; enriching the smooth rum with aromatic notes of wine during the journey.

In the spirit, Havana Club’s maestro del ron cubano has selectively finished the most precious old rums in barrels of France’s famous dessert wine – Sauternes. Recreating a cuban rum of great richness and depth by combining the flavours of cane and grape.
 

Nose:

Toastet fruit meets sweet honey, caramel and vanilla notes

Taste:

Balanced creamyness and sweetness with hints of cinnamon, citrus fruit and spices

Finish:

Dried fruit with an extraordinary, long lingering, intense finish
