Quiet Man

The spirit producer Niche Drinks is building a new distillery in Derry, Northern Ireland. The production is to be started in 2016. It is the first distillery in the town for 150 years.
Already on the market are two bottlings made of new make bought from other distilleries, but matured in own casks in Derry.
Niche Drinks manager Ciaran Mulgrew grew up as son of a barman. John Mulgrew worked as a bartender in Belfast and County Tyrone for more than 50 years. Sometimes he got is son in to work with him and so he grew up loving the sounds and smells of the bar, the craic, the laughter and the smell of the beer and whiskey. Especially the whiskey.
Now that Ciaran is making his own whiskey, he is naming it after his father. As a bartender he saw a lot of things and heard a lot of stories, but like all good bartenders, he was true to his code and told no tales. John Mulgrew, “The Quiet Man”, or as they say in Ireland “An Fear Ciuin.”
