At the end of the 90s, Rudolf Jelinek stopped producing gin. After the political change, the market was dominated by British products. There is now a great demand for a variety of gins and individual and characterful products. Therefore, the gin at Jelinek was revived in 2021.

Over 120 years of experience in the distillation of juniper and herbal recipes for gin that have been tried and tested since the 1970s form the backbone of Gold Cock Gin. As with whiskey under the same brand, emphasis is placed on maintaining tradition and sticking to the recipes that were last used decades ago. The Gold Cock Gin contains coriander, cardamom, angelica, iris, licorice, wormwood, oranges and lemon peel - and of course black juniper. Everything is macerated in fine alcohol and then very slowly distilled.

The gin has a very soft, full-bodied character with a clean juniper note and a fine citrus tone. It can be enjoyed neat, but is of course also ideal for a gin & Tonic or other long drinks and cocktails.
