Matusalem Gran Reserva 23 is a premium rum that will satisfy even the most sophisticated and discerning of palates. Deep and intense golden hues combine with a unique flavor and unmistakable character. Its sophisticated flavor, alluring taste and premium character will delight the demanding consumer. Gran Reserva 23 is, to date, the greatest achievement of the Matusalem family.

Colour:	Deep amber color with an orange, coppery iridescence. Highly attractive and appetizing.
Nose:	Dried fruit over sweet pastry tones. Sensation of fresh honey with a touch of magnolia and almond flower. A base of caramelized sugar and toffee combining with mango and exotic woods and cedar, along with a hint of white chocolate and almond.
Taste:	Very fine, elegant and creamy. Base of licorice with overtones of toasted almond/hazlenut. Highly complex, beginning with fresh, even fruity sensations, gradually becoming more sophisticated and ending with a final touch reminiscent of sherry.

Matusalem Rum represents over a century of fine Cuban tradition. The rums are still produced in this tradition of limited quantities, following the same recipe for 140 years, under the same exacting standards established by the brand’s founders over a century ago.

Today, Matusalem Rum is produced in the Dominican Republic, whose soils and climate create the highest quality sugar cane which is used in the family’s secret formula, under the watchful eyes of the master blenders. These master blenders are all descendants of the founders, and are faithfully committed to maintaining the centuries old technique of Solera blending. In the Solera blending process, various mature aged Caribbean rums are carefully blended with more exuberant rums to create exceptionally smooth, unique blends.
