Aged in small American white oak casks for full 12 years, this rum has a complex character with a delicate aroma that can come only from time.
 

Nose:

Rich and sweet with intense aromas of tropical fruit and candied apples

Taste:

Highly viscous, intense aromas of tobacco and oak wood

Finish:

Warming and lingering, not cloying

The choice of a Macaw as Doorly’s icon dates back to the founder Martin Doorly who originally choose the beautiful Scarlet Macaw to appear on the very first bottles of Doorly’s rum. Due to this legacy Doorly’s continues to choose a Macaw for each expression of Doorly’s rum.

The extremely rare Spix Macaw also known as the Little Blue Macaw is thought to be extinct in the wild and is Doorly’s choice to adorn the equally exceptional Doorly’s 12 Year Old Rum.

Doorly’s Rum has been made on the island of Barbados since 1908, and was remarkably the first rum ever to be exported from the island.
